Sunday Afternoon March 15

It's a rainy, gloomy day here in southeast Texas. Easy to let rainy weather "drown" you . ... although the majority of us haven't taken a walk in the rain in a long time - maybe we spend too much time under umbrellas!

Most of us "city dwellers" don't actually use rain water much - we certainly don't drink it! (Now, you'll know I'm older than dirt...but when I was a child, we gathered rain water to wash our hair - didn't need to invest in expensive conditioners in those days! HA).

Interesting thing about drinking water...it can be dipped from a bubbling spring , drunk out of a bottle, or poured into a glass with ice and lemon...you choose how you ingest water. Same way you choose how or whether you will drink from the Living Water provided by Jesus. He wants us to quench our spiritual thirst in Him and if we don't, then we have all the spiritual symptoms of being parched, ill, dehydrated, and tired.

Living Water comes from our relationship with Jesus. Revelation 7:17(NLT) For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water...

Two Thoughts:
How do I drink this Living Water? Read God's Word, Pray, and Seek to live in your world following God's guidelines. God in You = Living Water

What are some indicators that I'm drinking in the Living Water?
  • Recognizing that I have life through my relationship with Jesus
  • Being aware that the Spirit of God lives within me
  • Having a sense of purpose and direction in my life
  • Receiving specific guidance from God's Word
  • Serving others through my words and actions
  • Enjoying being a member of The Family of God
Putting on my golashes and going for a stroll,
Talk to you later

About Me

Beaumont, Texas, United States
I have been married to Ralph, a retired Baptist minister, for many years. We have two adult sons. After retiring from teaching, I became a freelance writer and speaker for Christian audiences - especially women. My heart's desire is to share the lessons God has taught and is teaching me during my journey with Him. I love writing and teaching and I think I'm going to love "blogging"! There is such great joy and laughter in living with Jesus; I want to share that with others.
